Will converting AVIF to WEBP lose quality?

A second lossy step always costs a little, because avif is lossy-oriented and webp is lossy-oriented and each encoder discards detail differently (generation loss). At the default quality the difference is rarely visible; avoid repeated round-trips between .avif and .webp.

Is it private to convert AVIF files here?

Where will the WEBP file work?

Can I convert WEBP back to AVIF?
