Will converting JPG to APNG lose quality?
No new loss is introduced — since jpg is lossy-oriented and apng is lossless-oriented, everything the .jpg file still contains is carried over exactly. What was already discarded by the original lossy encode cannot be recovered, though; converting to .apng does not "restore" quality.
Is it private to convert JPG files here?

Where will the APNG file work?

Will the APNG file be bigger or smaller than my JPG?
Larger, sometimes much larger. A lossless .apng must store every pixel or sample the decoder produced, without the perceptual shortcuts .jpg used. Use this route for editing headroom, not for saving space.
What happens to the metadata in my JPG file?
In .jpg, carries EXIF (camera settings, GPS, orientation), XMP, and IPTC records in APPn marker segments, plus embedded ICC color profiles and thumbnails. Re-encoding through the browser pipeline does not carry embedded metadata into the output, which doubles as a privacy scrub — check the exported file if you specifically need tags preserved.
Can I convert APNG back to JPG?
Yes — the reverse route exists as a separate tool. Bear in mind that round-tripping .jpg → .apng → .jpg is not a perfect undo when any lossy step is involved; keep your original if fidelity matters.
