It is probably the most widely produced data format in existence, emitted by everything from banking portals to lab instruments.
A .vcf file is a vCard: one or more contact records written as property lines — names, phone numbers, email addresses, organisations, photos — inside BEGIN:VCARD and END:VCARD markers. It is the format your phone exports when you share a contact. For this route the practical draw is universally supported by phones, mail clients and address books and plain text and human-readable, so a broken import can be diagnosed by eye — balanced against three incompatible versions in active circulation, which is worth knowing before you commit a large batch.
Why convert CSV to VCF?
